The purpose of the "Credit Scoring" solution is to create a model-based decision system, according to which, candidate customers Bank products, should be considered as credible or not credible. The output of the whole process, is a scoring measure, named Scorecard. Scorecard consists of the main financial and demographic characteristics of the customers, that are able to discriminate between "good" and "bad" customers.
Through advanced data management and modelling processes every potential customer is attributed with a score that is compared to some previously defined cut-off limits, related to creditors policy, and a decision is taken automatically whether to grant credit or not from the system.
The data management and statistical analysis packages used to implement such systems is SAS for Windows, and SPAD.
