Oracle Adds Over 30 New Customers During First Quarter

Oracle Corporation, announced that in the first quarter of its fiscal year 2003 more than 30 new customers selected Oracle Outsourcing to manage and administer their software. American Industries, Education Service Center, Original Bradford Soap Works, Raleigh Durham Airport, S2 Systems, among others, chose to capitalize on the advantages Oracle Outsourcing provides.

For companies seeking to relieve the challenges of servicing and maintaining their information technology (IT) investments, Oracle Outsourcing is an ideal software delivery option. By outsourcing the performance, security, problem, availability and change management of Oracle software to Oracle, customers can receive the benefit of Oracle software faster and with lower cost.

Oracle Outsourcing customers do not have to worry about time-consuming software upgrades, have access to world-class expertise in e-business software 7x24x365, and most importantly, can focus their resources on their core competence and leave Oracle to focus on its core competence - the creation and management of business software.

American Industries
The implementation of the Oracle E-Business Suite is a critical project for American Industries, a company that assists manufacturers of all sizes and stages of technology to begin manufacturing in Mexico in the shortest possible time.

By providing operational support and expertise, American Industries has enabled over 70 manufacturers to successfully start manufacturing in Mexico. Since they provide expertise to other companies, American Industries understands the outsourcing benefits of being able to focus on their core competencies, while allowing Oracle to handle the management of their applications.

"Based on the nature of our business, we firmly believe that non-core processes that can be performed better by a third party should be outsourced," said Luis Lara, chief executive officer for American Industries.

"Oracle E-Business Suite Outsourcing provides a fast way to jump on the applications bandwagon, eliminating the need for computer site improvements, hardware acquisition, installation and tuning. Because of Oracle's core expertise, we believe that we will receive the best available support with our selection of Oracle E-Business Suite outsourcing."

Raleigh Durham Airport
With nearly 10 million passengers each year, ensuring that travelers safely reach their destinations is the priority for Raleigh Durham Airport. Oracle Outsourcing enables airport employees to focus on providing travelers with accurate and timely service and eliminates the responsibility of servicing and maintaining the airport's e-business platform.

"We chose to outsource the Oracle E-Business Suite because Oracle Outsourcing offered the Airport the opportunity to continue to focus on our core competencies without concern over the ability to hire and retain the staff needed to provide a similar quality of support and service," said James Gill, deputy airport director, finance, business and administration for the Raleigh Durham Airport.

"Additionally, our cost/benefit analysis of the services verified that outsourcing to Oracle would deliver us savings. We specifically chose Oracle to provide the services because of its expertise with its own software, proven customer satisfaction, and ability to meet our needs long term. We have been extremely satisfied with the service and partnership established between the airport and Oracle and look forward to a long and successful relationship."

S2 Systems, Inc.
S2 Systems, Inc. selected Oracle E-Business Outsourcing to lower IT maintenance and administration costs while benefiting from the features of the latest applications. A leading global provider of mission-critical enterprise payment and transaction management solutions, S2 Systems maintains a portfolio of Global 2000 clients and was impressed with the reliability and "peace of mind" that Oracle Outsourcing offers.

"We don't have the time or the IT resources to maintain our own software environment as well as Oracle, and we also need to be able to assure our clients that our business operates on the most efficient and reliable technology platform," said Craig Minyard, chief financial officer for S2 Systems, Inc. "Oracle Outsourcing assures us and our customers that our applications are in expert hands, allowing us to focus on the quality of our services and achieving our business initiatives."
